The Boeing 747, manufactured by the American company Boeing, is often referred to as Jumbo Jet (Engl. A Jumbo Jet), or simply, the 747 is the world's first long-haul wide-body passenger aircraft 2-level. The first flight was performed on February 9, 1969. At the time of its creation, the Boeing 747 was the largest, heaviest and roomy passenger airliner, remaining so for 37 years before the first flight of the A380, which was released in 2005.

The Boeing 747 has highly modified layout, with the upper deck along the bottom far below. Size and peculiar " hump " upper deck made the Boeing 747 aircraft in one of the most recognizable in the world, the hero of dozens of movies and a symbol of civil aviation.

There are several different variants of the Boeing 747, most of whom can make long-range flights. The Boeing 747 is among the record-holder of the Australian airline Qantas Airways, who in 1989 year nonstop flights from London to Sydney, breaking thus 18000 km for 8:0 pm 9 minutes without carrying any passengers or cargo.

Despite the high cost, but due to the high cost of air transportation and leasing schemes, this is one of the most common passenger aircraft in the world. Until September 2010 year was commissioned by 1527 models
