BRDM-1 was launched in 1957, and was in service with the Soviet army units until the 80 's.
Floating machine, has high cross-country capability, when moving on difficult terrain are additional retractable wheels.
Main armament is the 12.7 mm DShK. Some machines are equipped with anti-tank units equipped with PU «malyutka ANTI-TANK GUIDED MISSILES.
BRDM-1 was delivered to the countries of the Warsaw Pact and many other States. The main drawback is the location of the gasoline engine in the front of the chassis.
